Grand Canyon of the tuolumne
August 15, 2020 Begins a 3 day backpacking trip in Yosemite. I will be hiking with a good friend, spending the first night camped out at White Wolf campground. From there the hiking begins the following morning with a moderate 4 mile hike to the rim followed by a steep descent into the canyon and another 6.5 miles to Pate Valley where we’ll spend the night. Day 2 on the trail will travel about 13 miles to scenic Glen Aulin Falls, high Sierra camp with some stops and detours along the way to admire the waterfalls . The final day would be an easy 6 mile hike out to Tioga Pass Road. The would be the case most years but with Corona virus closures the shuttle isn’t running so our options will be; drive separate vehicles to leave one at the exit ponit or hike the 25 miles back along the road and hope to catch a ride with someone passing by. I’m leaning with option 2.
